Tutoring, volunteering, teaching
About
KidsCorps connects high school students with elementary-age students in the district to offer weekly tutoring services. Our club streamlines the process of tracking hours, so it's easy to tally your volunteer hours as a member of KidsCorps.
Meeting Information
KidsCorps as a club meets two to three times per year in the LPR to discuss tutoring techniques and the process of logging hours. Individual tutors meet their students weekly in a public space to help with schoolwork.
Time Commitment(including meetings)
1-2 hours per week.
Membership policy
Students interested in joining KidsCorps should fill out an application at the beginning of the year, which will be available in class Facebook and Schoology pages in September. Those who want to join later on are more than welcome to fill out the form after September, as we always receive more students as the year progresses.

Student testimonies
"I love the consistent time commitment this club provides. I only meet once a week with my student, yet I get all the hours necessary for National Honor Society. It's also extremely flexible as to how I can help my students. In the past, I've had to create my own worksheets and bribe my student to sit in her chair; other times, I do my homework while my student does hers."
